Coming into Bloom

Menicon has launched its Bloom myopia control management system.

The launch featured the initial introduction of Menicon Bloom Night, the first and only CE-approved orthokeratology contact lens in Europe for myopia control, said the company.

Billed as a ‘holistic approach for myopia control management’, Bloom Night involves the overnight wear of a specially designed reverse geometry orthokeratology contact lens. A new corneal shape provides a particular optical path for incoming light that counters the ocular growth response associated with myopia development. Bloom Night has been reviewed and validated by peer-review studies related to myopia management, said Menicon.
