Contact lens management role for Jeanne Bear

Research firm and contact lens materials manufacturer Optical Polymer Research (OPR) has added Jeanne Bear to its management team.

The company said Bear brought extensive sales, marketing and business development experience within the global contact lens industry in both the RGP and soft contact lens sectors.

Bear has been active within the global industry for over 20 years, serving as both board member and president of the European Federation of Contact Lens Industries (EFCLIN) and until recently, was on the editorial board for  Global Contact.

She was previously general manager for global business development for Menicon in Japan, where she led market expansion throughout North America, Eastern Europe and South America. In 2008 she joined Contamac in the UK and directed global marketing, sales and business development.
