Contact lens manufacturers Bausch + Lomb and Cooopervision have reiterated their support of unilateral pricing policies (UPP) following Johnson & Johnson’s decision to scrap its own minimum pricing structure last month (News 22.04.16).
Mark McKenna, senior vice president and general manager of US vision care for Bausch + Lomb said the company was committed to the strategy: ‘UPP is intended to encourage ECPs to invest the time to learn about the company’s UPP products and educate consumers, to support the UPP products as innovative offerings and to enable Bausch + Lomb to continue to provide excellent customer service related to those products.’
