CooperVision has increased its partnership commitment to Optometry Giving Sight by becoming a Platinum Global Sponsor, a two-year commitment that builds on last year's Gold Global Sponsorship.
CooperVision president John Weber said the move was warmly welcomed by staff. 'As a global company, we think it makes absolute sense to actively support a global charity, especially one that is doing so much to promote and develop optometry as a respected and recognised profession throughout the world.'
OGS funds 26 projects in 18 counties in Africa, Asia and Latin America, with support for schools of optometry, establishment of vision centres, optical labs, training clinics and outreach programmes.
