The competition is open to independent opticians and small multiples, who are members of De Rigo's loyalty card scheme. To enter, practitioners must dress their windows between now and January, using point-of-sale materials and products from De Rigo's new ophthalmic collections, and send a colour photograph of the finished window to reach De Rigo before January 31, 2001. The competition will be judged in February 2001 by an independent panel, including optician's Rory Brogan. The 10 prizewinners will receive flights to Venice, transfers, three nights' accommodation in a luxury hotel, skiing instruction, sightseeing and a tour of the De Rigo factory. Michael Green, De Rigo UK's chief executive of sales, said: 'We have decided to repeat our window dressing competition after the positive response we received from last year's entrants. We want to encourage and suport our independent customers and push home the fact that you don't need fancy window dressers to create an impactful window, just a little creativity. It's our way of supporting loyalty and initiative.' - For details of the competition contact 01923 249491.
