Crisis - the charity for homeless people - is appealing to optical practitioners to volunteer their services during Crisis Open Christmas.

From December 23 to 30, the charity will be opening eight centres around London which homeless people can visit for a hot meal, plus access to medical, dental and optical services.

Andrew Meyer, Crisis Open Christmas services manager, said: 'Volunteers have the opportunity to make a concrete improvement in the quality of life of some of London's most vulnerable people.'
