Cycle event takes BBR's sports eyewear promotion to new level

Over the weekend of June 20, Numberforty, BBR Optometry's subsidiary specialist sunglass and sports eyewear business, attended OS Mountain Mayhem, the biggest mountain bike event in the UK.

The 24-hour endurance bike race took place at Eastnor Castle in Ledbury and featured over 2,500 competitors, comprising 450 teams and solo riders, racing in relay over an 8.75 mile course from 2pm Saturday to 2pm Sunday.

By running a competition on its stand to win a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and a RipCurl watch, Numberforty collected nearly 500 contact details to add to its marketing database. According to BBR, these have contributed additional sales to those made at the event itself.
