Optician’s editor Chris Bennett raises £1,440 for two charities

Optician’s editor, Chris Bennett, has raised £1,440 for two charities by taking part in two sporting challenges.

Blind veterans UK and SeeAbility will share the money raised by Bennett following his completion of the Prudential RideLondon100 last Sunday (August 4) and of the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon last month (July 26).

Blind Veterans UK provides practical support and help for visually impaired ex-service men and women. It also recently announced plans to direct more of its funds to help in the fight against age-related conditions such as macular degeneration. SeeAbility offers support, accommodation and eyecare services for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss.
