David Probert has been appointed as chief executive of Moorfields Eye Hospital, taking up the position in April 2016.
Probert is currently the director of strategic development at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he has led a number of major strategic initiatives including two major hospital developments on the UCH site.
His previous roles include chief operating officer at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and senior operational leadership positions at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
On his new role, Probert said: ‘I am honoured to have been asked to be the next chief executive at Moorfields. I very much look forward to joining the team next year and helping take forward a number of major initiatives to help define the hospital’s exciting future.’
