De Rigo has announced that most of the packaging materials it uses for its eyewear, point of purchase materials and spare parts are recyclable, compostable and re-usable.
The company has now started to provide materials that are produced by suppliers certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and has produced information for customers about how to correctly dispose of waste products.
Recyclable packaging materials include large cartons designed with natural fibres and internal separators that reduce the packaging and waste to be disposed of, bubble wrap in bio-compostable material for filling space in cartons, padding material in recycled paper for holding the goods still to prevent damage and padded envelopes in recycled paper with corrugated inner lining that are shock-resistant and particularly sturdy for the shipment of spare parts.
