De Rigo held an event at its new office in Watford this week where it announced plans for the UK market.
Journalists and practitioners were introduced to the Italian frame company’s global managing director Michele Aracri at the larger office space, which has a showroom area.
Aracri also announced the signing of an 18-month contract with Brazilian footballer Neymar to become its Police brand ambassador. Marketing activity was to follow in the lead up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, with designs available for limited distribution from May.
Aracri told Optician the UK was ‘a strategic market’ for De Rigo and said the coming year would see ‘a raft of activities’ by the firm. A full interview will follow in a forthcoming issue of Optician.
