Carl Zeiss Vision has won an iF Design Award for its moble application i.Com.

The app won the internatiuonal accolade in the communicatuion category and was its second award after winning a Red Dot last autumn.

Peter Robertson, marketing and communications director, Carl Zeiss Vision UK, said: ‘The iF Design Award is the recognition of the i.Com mobile user interface and its ease of use, reinforcing our confidence in its future success, and its benefit to our customers.’

The app can be used through the entire patient consultation process, from examination to lens selection and centration. All measurements taken with Zeiss instruments, including the i.Profiler and i.Terminal 2, can be managed via an iPad and automatically stored on the i.Com server, which provides central access to all dispensing data from multiple iPads.
