German eyewear and lens manufacturer Rodenstock has won a Special Mention award at the German Design Awards 2014 for its R8005 ophthalmic frame from the Rodenstock Perfection collection.
The manufacturer said the award was the German Design Council’s international premium prize and that the jury of 30 design experts from business, education and science as well as the design industry picked the frame from 1,900 submissions.
‘With this award, the German Design Council recognises work with an innovative design and technical refinement and acknowledges the outstanding dedication of companies and designers,’ said a manufacturer spokesperson.
