Diabetes webinars explore ways to prevent vision loss

A series of webinars organised by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness took place from November 12-19 to mark World Diabetes Day on November 14.

The Focus on Diabetes events were designed to provide an understanding of health strategies for at-risk populations and explore ways to prioritise diabetes to reduce vision loss.

Jude Stern, head of knowledge management for IAPB, said: ‘Millions of people are currently living with diabetes, and the condition is predicted to increase. It is crucial that as a sector we develop a deep understanding to ensure everyone has access to the information and treatments they need to maintain healthy eyes and vision.’
