Dispensing room honours founder

Jack Brown Eyecare held a grand opening for its new dispensing room, which was named after the founder of the eponymous practice that opened in Edinburgh in 1977.

The independent optical practice held an evening to formally open Jack’s Room, named after the practitioner who retired in 2006 and now spent his time sailing in the Mediterranean.

Barry Duncan, director of Jack Brown Eyecare, said: ‘Jack opened his first practice, laying very strong foundations to ensure longevity and success. His objectives were clear and most of the things he introduced then are still in operation today, notably the professional aspect of the business.
