A Glamorgan-based dispensing optician has been charged with serious professional misconduct and will appear before a disciplinary hearing in October.
Ceri Malpas, who is registered in Hengoed, is accused of claiming for spectacles on GOS forms on numerous occasions, when no spectacles had been supplied.
In addition, she is accused of claiming for two pairs of spectacles when 30 pairs of contact lenses had been supplied.
The accusations set out on the GOC's charge sheet allegedly started in 1998 and continue into 2001.
Malpas is scheduled to appear before a disciplinary panel of the GOC at the General Dental Council in London on
October 13.
