DO suspension lifted

A fitness to practise committee review hearing has lifted the suspension placed on a dispensing optician convicted of drink driving on two occasions. It was ruled that Graham Bodman, now of Specsavers in Boscombe, must work under conditional registration for nine months.

Bodman was originally suspended for 18 months in January 2012 after a FTP committee heard he had been convicted for drink driving for a second time. In August 2011, he was warned by the GOC over his conduct after a drink driving conviction in August 2010.

The committee said it was encouraged with the progress Bodman had made while suspended.
