Practices from across the UK are being invited to compete for a coveted optician Award trophy in 10 different categories. An entry form was included with two issues in February and a third entry form will be distributed with next week's issue of optician.
There are a number of new categories in this year's awards, designed to reflect the changing nature of optometric practice. These include Fashion Eyewear Practice of the Year, Start Up Practice of the Year and Large High Street Practice of the Year.
There are also categories for Contact Lens Practice of the Year, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, Eyecare Practice of the Year, sponsored by Ciba Vision, Marketing Initiative Award, sponsored by Rodenstock, Technology Practice of the Year Award, sponsored by Grafton Optical and its technology partners, and a Contribution to CET Award, sponsored by Dollond & Aitchison.
The entries will be judged by panels of experts later this month and we don't intend to extend the deadline, so it is imperative that you get your entry to us as soon as possible. To enter the awards simply make a statement of 500 words on the entry form and send this to us with supporting evidence and photography.
Look out for more details on the categories currently being published in optician and a forthcoming feature on how to enter.
If you have any queries or require additional entry forms call Morag Allward on 0870 8730050.
