DOs and CLOs graduate

Dispensing opticians and contact lens opticians celebrated their graduation at Canterbury Cathedral on November 24 with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

During the ceremony, attendees were addressed by ABDO president Daryl Newsome and Nigel Haig-Brown, master at the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.

‘Teachers, lecturers, clinic managers and supervisors all joined the celebrations to make the event one the graduates will hopefully remember for the rest of their lives. We wish them well as this is the first huge step on their professional careers and task them with being the best dispensing opticians they can be and commit to improve their offering year on year as they maintain their journey into lifelong learning,’ Newsome said.
