Duncan and Todd appoints new FD

Scottish optical group Duncan and Todd has appointed a new finance director.

Robert Skidmore will have a ‘fundamental role’ in the company’s future as it looks to expand its presence in Scotland’s central belt following a £15m investment from equity firm LDC in March.

Skidmore has previously held roles as a chief financial officer and chief executive officer in the North East of the country across various industries, including a multi-site distribution business and the oil and gas sector, before his move to healthcare.

‘Duncan and Todd has developed a strong business model combining deep industry expertise with high standards of service,’ said Skidmore. ‘I am excited about the opportunity to further develop and support the business in its next phase of growth.’
