Edward Baldwin for Vision Aid Overseas

Edward Baldwin, an optometrist for Optical Express in Cardiff, is pictured on a recent two-week trip to Africa for Vision Aid Overseas.

Baldwin, an experienced volunteer, said: 'I've seen first hand how better vision can change someone's life.

Many children in Africa that attend blind schools would not be there if they had a pair of spectacles.

Lots of people hand their old glasses into our store and with our expanding laser business, the number of glasses being handed in is growing - which is great news all round.'
