Essilor adds ASE business

Essilor International has bought a majority stake in the UK-based ASE Corporate Eyecare business.

The company supplies products to corporate employers to enable their compliance with Display Screen Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment and the Corporate Manslaughter Act legislative requirements. ASE also provides eye care services to corporate employees as part of their benefits packages.

‘Now benefiting from the support of Essilor, ASE will continue to be led by the existing management team and will benefit from the many synergies that Essilor will be able to bring to the partnership,’ Essilor said.

It added that the partnership created an ‘exciting new business channel within the Essilor group and would help strengthen existing business relationships with independent customers based in the UK and Ireland’.
