
Essilor has launched its ‘Take Two’ promotion for 2021 to encourage patients to shop at independent opticians.
The company said its promotional offer of a complimentary or discounted second pair of lenses would support independents, with a national digital advertising campaign planned to direct consumers to participating stores.
Tim Precious, Essilor’s managing director, explained: ‘Finding new ways to adapt and attract customers is essential and we believe the promotion and digital drive to store activity will help keep revenue streams healthy at a time when the number of appointments is much lower than normal.’
Essilor also planned to add all participating practices to its online optician finder, with a page dedicated to boosting practice’s online visibility.
