EssilorLuxottica is considering an appeal after its legal action to obtain information from HAL and GrandVision was dismissed by the Dutch District Court.
The optical provider made demands for disclosure of information on how GrandVision conducted business during Covid-19 in order to assess if the company had breached obligations under the support agreement as part of its proposed acquisition.
An EssilorLuxottica statement said: ‘The company remains concerned about GrandVision’s behaviour in continuing to deny access to important information related to their handling of the Covid-19 outbreak.’
It added that it is studying the judgement and assessing its options, including the possibility of filing an appeal against the
judgement.
