EssilorLuxottica to reveal five year Stellest lens data results

EssilorLuxottica would present latest study findings on its Essilor Stellest lenses and light management at the Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (Arvo 2024).

Data from a five year clinical study, presented by Dr Björn Drobe from EssilorLuxottica’s research and development (R&D) team, would reveal that Essilor Stellest lenses saved one and three-quarter dioptres of myopia over five years.

Professor Mark Bullimore would present his insights on predictive models for axial elongation and change in myopia progression at the event on May 5-9 in Seattle.

Bullimore and Dr Yee Ling Wong, also from the R&D team, would further discuss emmetropic eye growth and spectacle lenses with highly aspherical lenslets (HAL) based on findings from a recently published paper.

Norbert Gorny, chief scientific officer at EssilorLuxottica, said: ‘We are excited to be able to share the latest five-year findings of HAL lenses as long-term clinical data is essential to showcase the continued efficacy and performance of the lens in children.’

At a dedicated booth, the company would also showcase its latest equipment, including the digital infinite refraction range consisting of Vision-R 800, Vision-S 700 and a specialised biometer, the Myopia Expert 700.
