A hospital doctor from the Royal United Hospital in Bath has climbed Everest for a second time, with help from Maui Jim.
Dr Rob Casserley became the 60th Briton to climb Everest in 2003, and made an aborted summit bid last year, turning back 300 metres from the top when high altitude took its toll and a team-mate lost his life.
Raising money for the Parkinson's Disease Society and 'The Forever Friends Appeal', he is the sixth Briton to have climbed Everest twice. He wore the Maui Jim Sport model to base camp and the heavy duty Volcano model with 8 per cent light transmission on the climb.
Maui Jim's Sean Collins said: 'We're often asked if our product is good for extreme conditions and this answers the question. Rob said they were the best lenses he's worn and he wouldn't wear anything else now.'
