Austrian eyewear producer Neubau has extended its sustainable plant-based ophthalmic frame portfolio with the release of the New Generation Explorers collection.
Frames in the new collections are made entirely from natural3D, a plant-based material extracted from GMO (genetically modified organism) renewable castor oil and then constructed using ‘no waste’ 3D-printing. Neubau said the material and the locality of its in-house manufacturing meant the frames had an extremely small ecological footprint.
The collection comprises three unisex styles – Janis, Fred and Siggi, each available in red, black, olive, teal and dark teal hues. Pictured above from the new range is the Janis style, which sports an oversized squared-off butterfly shape with a dropped nose bridge and top mounted temples.
