Coopervision has carried out a survey among US and European eye care practitioners (ECPs) to hear their thoughts on daily contact lenses.
A total of 450 ECPs and 2,000 contact lens wearers from the US, France, Italy, Spain and Germany took part in the survey. The results highlighted that 79% of US ECPs and 46% of European ECPs have moved patients who have frequent replacements to one-day contact lenses.
As well as this, the survey also found that a refit to one day contact lenses is often driven by the ECP, with results showing that 84% of the time it is the ECP suggesting the change and 69% of patients reporting that they made the decision to switch based on recommendations from the ECP.
