Eye health event held in Parliament

An eye health drop-in event was held in Parliament on October 19

An eye health drop-in event was held in Parliament on October 19 as part of the relaunch of the Eyes Have It challenge.

Attendees experienced how sight loss could affect their ability to identify MPs and they found out why action was required to prevent avoidable sight loss.

Campaigners said the demand for NHS eye care service was rising and the government needed to transform eye health services by prioritising research.

The Eyes Have It campaign is a partnership between Roche Products, the Macular Society, the RNIB, Fight for Sight, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Association of Optometrists.
