Dutch designer Eric Klarenbeek has been exhibiting his creations, eye jewellery hanging from a wire attached to a contact lens, at Selfridges as part of the department store's Natural History exhibition.

The jewellery which includes items such as crystals or flowers is fastened to the contact lens by medical wire and hangs beneath the eye. Klarenbeek claims the wire cannot be felt by the wearer and does not affect vision.

The lens and accessory set is reported to cost £200, according to The Times October 3.
