Eye Week kicks off with sports stars at Tottenham

This year's sports-themed National Eye Week was launched to the public on Monday (September 21) with a photocall of sports stars at Tottenham Hotspur's north London football ground. Pictured (l-r) are Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson, leading squash player Tim Garner, and England rugby union player Mike Catt. Promotions during the week ranged from a special page devoted to eye care in the children's Beano comic, to Northampton independent practice Paul Lewis Optician launching National Eye Week with the help of footballer and contact lens wearer Sean Parrish, who helped the town's league team to a shock win over West Ham United on Tuesday.
