Independent optical group Eyesite held its annual two-day conference earlier this month, featuring a Harry Potter-themed fancy dress party in the evening.
Lectures included a talk from lead clinician at Sussex Eye Hospital Ed Hughes on papilloedema, a hands on mini scleral workshop from Bausch + Lomb and product updates from Coopervision, J&J and Alcon.
Practitioners from Eyesite’s network of six practices also presented cases they had seen throughout the year, lens manufacturer Essilor gave a masterclass for the dispensing team on bespoke lenses, and Eyelab presented on specialist adjustments and repairs.
The reception team had sessions with Maui Jim, Spectrum Thea and Altacor, as well as lectures on common eye conditions and dispensing enquiries.
