A redesigned Specsavers practice on Fareham's West Street was opened by company founder Dame Mary Perkins last week.
The practice has doubled in size, with eight new testing rooms, a contact lens department, a separate hearing centre and a larger on-site laboratory. The redesign has brought eight new staff members.
On the opening, Dame Mary said: 'It's fantastic to see the changes at the Fareham store first hand. We never lose sight of our customers and it's great that the store can now offer them an improved service.'
The practice also pledged to raise £1,500 for the local branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind over the next year to fund the training of a guide dog puppy.
