Brulimar Optical Group is launching a new eyewear range for vibrant fashion label Crosshatch.

The company described the affordable eyewear collection as designed exclusively for young males and featuring cutting-edge frames inspired by Crosshatch’s bold graphics and intense colours.

Crosshatch is a youth clothing brand that began life in Manchester in 2001, reflecting the city’s vibrant music scene from The Stone Roses and Oasis to 2014’s Blossoms and The Tapestry.

Model CRH102  is described as having matt wood-grain effect temples on a smooth acetate front, imitating the classic cool of a vintage turntable, while CRH113 has a sleek steel supra front and flexible TR90 temples, bringing Crosshatch’s bold colour statements to a classic fashion frame.

Brulimar pointed out quality touches such as sprung hinges, TR 90 lightweight plastics and multi-layer acetates. Matt acetates are mixed with high-shine metal and colour injected acetate temple details. The colour palette is taken from solid greys and blues, mixed with classic black and tortoiseshell.

Brulimar managing director Howard Librae said the range took the best of the past, bringing it bang up to date. ‘We’re proud to be adding to our portfolio of some of the world’s most well-known eyewear brands and to be working with another highly successful Manchester company. For young males looking for affordable quality, this collection faithfully represents Crosshatch’s famous loud and colourful personality.’

The eyewear, launched at Silmo, will be available UK-wide in 13 fashion styles.
