French eyewear manufacturer L'Amy has been purchased by fashion accessories manufacturer TWC.

Founded over 200 years ago in the Jura region of France, L'Amy has a brand portfolio which includes licences for Chloe, Nina Ricci and Sonia Rykiel. Its French purchaser, TWC, manufactures and markets watches, handbags and jewellery under various brands, including licensed names, in France, Germany and the Middle East, according to Vision Monday.

'The acquisition of the L'Amy Group will bring enhanced financial strength to the company and will further enhance the group's opportunities to acquire key brand names and develop a wider product offering,' said TWC's chief executive, Aymeric Chaumet.
