Fears raised about future of Welsh services

Members of the Associations of Optometrists (AOP) raised concerns over the impact changes proposed by the Welsh Government could have on eye care.

A survey conducted by the professional body revealed doubts about how domiciliary services would be delivered with 40% who said services would be harder to deliver under new plans because of fee cuts.

There were 44% who said reforms would have a detrimental effect on the services offered for specific groups, such as those who had a low income and patients who were over 60 and eligible for GOS3.
