February focus on apprenticeships

Staff at Specsavers will feature in a video shown in hundreds of school and colleges during National Apprenticeship Week 2023 (February 6-12).

The broadcast will include Adam Matthews, an apprentice at Specsavers Chesterfield; Helen Belkhodja, a director of four practices in Surrey; and Dena Wyatt, head of apprenticeships at the multiple.

It formed part of Specsavers’ partnership with Learn Live UK, which delivered career advice, recruitment opportunities and health awareness broadcasts into education settings across the UK.

‘Many of our apprentices wouldn’t have been aware of this exciting industry without the apprenticeship. It’s a stepping-stone into a career that offers so many opportunities,’ Wyatt said.
