February fundraising at London independent

Perspective Optometrists are donating to Vision Care for Homeless People

North London-based optical practice Perspective Optometrists are donating £40 from every private eye examination during February to Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP).

The Camden independent has supported a charity of its choice with a fundraising month for five years and chose VHCP this year after increased awareness of the cost of living crisis.

Rupal Shah, optometrist and owner of Perspective Optometrists, said: ‘By promoting it in our newsletter it has prompted people to book an eye test, which they might not have done. It has created a lot of goodwill as our patients like the fact that we are supporting a charity which they can relate to.

‘Vision Care for Homeless People has been on my radar for some time, boosted by an awareness that more people are struggling. I was impressed to learn that the charity is run largely by donations and grants.’
