Two appointments have been made by the FMO for its Equipment Focus Group.
Ron Wright (right) was appointed as chairman and Stuart Burn (left) as vice-chairman of the group last week.
Wright has a technology-led background including leadership of the BiB Group, while Burn has knowledge of finance, allowances and taxation issues and worked within the dental and veterinary sectors. Wright said he was keen to see more technology companies raise their profile collectively and work together through the FMO.
Burn added: 'By speaking with a cohesive voice optics is a lot stronger. Optics in general is going through a lot of change at the moment and it is important that the major suppliers are networking to understand what is working in this challenging time.'
