FMO chief executive Kevin Gutsell: ‘Always keen to inspire members with an exciting venue and a broad range of speakers, our latest event proved to be as thought provoking as ever.’

New FMO benefit provider The Buying Support Agency presented on ‘Best Practice Procurement’ before members split into frame, lens and technology sector groups for further networking and discussion.

The Buying Support Agency director Matt Roper said: ‘Up to 34 per cent savings can be achieved with the right procurement policy. We are looking at introducing cost savings across some 30 different categories. After staff costs, plus sales and marketing, procurement often has the most critical effect on the company’s profit, as every pound that you save hits the bottom line.’
