A membership surge has been reported by the FMO including new frame companies Ronit Furst, Capitol Optical, Emporium Eyewear and newly formed Eyespace Eyewear.

Jayne Abel (pictured), managing director of Eyespace along with Julie Abel, said: ‘Pooling nearly 40 years of experience in the optical industry from International Eyewear, we are passionate about the UK optical profession and value the involvement with the FMO. Enlisting Eyespace was a natural step.’

The next FMO regional meeting, where members are split into frame, lens and equipment focus groups, will be held on March 20.
