Commemorating 100 years since the Bauhaus art movement, Neubau’s new range pays homage to the German art school’s founder, Walter Gropius.

The company says it has ‘harnessed the framework’ of Gropius’ movement, bringing the ‘form follows function’ ethos to life. The new unisex design, which comes in three colourways, draws on the materials and shapes of that period to create a striking design.

Perfectly circular lenses are linked solely through the top bar, which cuts across the top of the lens where the glass has given way to a plastic cap. The flat top bar then loops around the lenses to form the sleek temples that finish with rounded tips. It is a stand-out design, sure to turn heads, but one which makes use of high-quality materials and creative design approaches.
