Final-year students from the London College of Fashion were asked to take part in a competition recently run by contact lens manufacturer, Wesley Jessen. The competition 'Eye for design' offered students the chance to combine col- oured contact lenses with their own skills in make-up and hair styling to produce an original fashion look.
The judging criteria was based on professionalism, creativity and appreciation of the target market, and the five shortlisted entries were recreated for a photographic shoot. The winning entry came from Jo-Anne Doherty, who chose green lenses from the FreshLook range. The company says it was particularly impressed with the interpretation, which it called striking and dramatic, and that the look was in keeping with the company's positioning of FreshLook Colors.
