Leighton's brought a little Hollywood glamour to the Runnymede hotel in Egham last week with a glittering black tie bash to celebrate 87 years of Leighton’s Opticians and to make some well-earned awards to its staff.

The Bike for Sight team won the firm’s Community and Charity Award.  Steve Wordley, Mark Davies, Conor O’Kane and Janos Reeves Bolshoid cycled 137km in aid of the Retinitis Pigmentosis charity.  Their journey began at the Poole Branch and finished in Basingstoke taking in every branch in the area group along the way and raising £1,200.

The Team Award was won by the Farnham branch and the inaugural Leighton To Live Award by Amanda Lee from Cirencester. This was in recognition of her ability to seamlessly support her customers in both optical and hearing care ensuring that they have every opportunity to live life to the full.
