Education Regulation

Peer review has helped optics meet demands for a more transparent healthcare system, said the General Optical Council on the release of its annual report.

GOC chief executive and registrar Samantha Peters applauded the introduction of the enhanced CET scheme in January.

The Council also reported it had cut the median time taken to make fitness to practise decisions for the most serious cases, from 37 weeks to 12 weeks.
