Four new members are appointed to the General Optical Council

Four new members have been appointed to the General Optical Council (GOC).

Optometrists Josie Forte and Roshni Samra will join the council as registrant members, while chartered accountant Clare Minchington and engineer Mike Galvin will join as lay members.

GOC Chair Gareth Hadley said: ‘I look forward to working closely with all new members. They will be joining the council at a crucial time, particularly as we increase our focus on education through our Education Strategic Review. I am confident that the experience our new members possess will allow them to make an invaluable contribution to this important project.’

All appointees will take up their posts on April 1.
