Registered practitioners will tomorrow receive forms for the GOC elections giving them the opportunity to nominate up to 11 candidates for Council to represent optometrists and dispensing opticians.
Five individuals will be chosen to represent DOs and six to represent optometrists, serving a term of office of five years.
Practitioners who want to put themselves forward as a candidate will need to complete a nomination form, while voting papers will be sent to all registrants in the UK later in the year.
Copies of the notice of election, two nomination forms and the full Election Scheme and rules are available today on the GOC website.
