GOC creates promo toolkit

A toolkit to help practitioners promote their practice and raise consumer awareness of their General Optical Council (GOC) registration has been created by the Council.

A toolkit to help practitioners promote their practice and raise consumer awareness of their General Optical Council (GOC) registration has been created by the Council.

The GOC produced the toolkit in response to research it conducted on public perception which showed that 38 per cent of respondents did not know who they would go to if they had a complaint about their optician as well as ongoing feedback from registrants requesting a practical means of promoting their practice.

The toolkit comprises a downloadable GOC-registered logo from the Council's website to be used on letterheads, business cards, appointment cards or websites. The logo automatically includes a registrant's unique GOC registration number to guard against misuse. The kit also includes an online guide to best practice, highlighting alternative promotional ideas plus design guidelines showing how to use the logo correctly.
