GOC erases Scottish DO

Scottish dispensing optician Martyn Stewart has been erased from the GOC’s register following false refund transactions.   

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found Stewart’s fitness to practice was impaired by reason of misconduct in relation to the registrant knowingly processing multiple false refunds to the total sum of £3,915 between 2019 and 2020.  

Stewart has been immediately suspended from the register until his right to appeal against his erasure ends on July 19, 2023.
