GOC funds peer review events

Education

Funding to train peer review facilitators has been provided by the General Optical Council - in preparation for changes in the new CET cycle.

The GOC has given a grant to LOCSU to organise free regional events for practitioners looking to host peer discussions.

Events will be accredited by the College of Optometrists and the Association of British Dispensing Opticians.

Samantha Peters, chief executive of the GOC, said: 'Undergoing facilitation training will give group leaders the confidence and know-how to support practitioners as much as possible. It's important that interactive CET is available all across the country, so we're delighted to be working with LOCSU to provide these regional events.'
